UN resolutions best solution

LAHORE Jamiat Ulema-e-Jammu and Kashmir President and Jamaat Ahle Sunnah Pakistan Supreme Council Chairman Maulana Pir Muhammad Ateequr Rehman has said that best solution to the Kashmir issue was implementation of the United Nation resolutions that recognized the right to self determination. Speaking at TheNation Forum on Monday, he said that India has failed to suppress the freedom movement in the held valley even after using military force for years and the Kashmiris were determined to get their due rights. He also met Editor-in-Chief TheNation and Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami at his office. He appreciated Majid Nizami for promoting Ideology of Pakistan and his services for freedom movement in Kashmir. He said that the veteran journalist has great respect among people of Kashmir. Information Secretary Jamiat Ulema-e-Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Yasin Gilani was also present. Ateeq-ur-Rehman said that the Kashmiris would definitely vote for Pakistan if they were given right to self determination. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Sunni Jehad Council has actively participated in the freedom struggle for Kashmir. He said that thousands have been martyred while carrying out Jehad against Indian occupation. Referring to the problems prevailing in the country, he said that only solution was implementation of Sharia. He said that there was need of activating Islamic Ideology Council and curbing the menace of Ahmadies. Condemning Nato attack on two military posts in Mohmand Agency, he suggested the rulers to take up the issue in the UN and take measures to stop such incidents in future.
