LAHORE The 10th National Women Handball Championship commenced under the aegis of Pakistan Handball Federation and Wapda Sports Board here at Wapda Sports Complex on Monday. Pakistan Olympic Association president Lt Gen (retd) Syed Arif Hassan was the chief guest and inaugurated the championship. The teams from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Army, Wapda, HEC and Police are participating in the championship. Results of first day matches: HEC beat Sindh (13-7), Police beat KP (24-2), Punjab beat Army (13-9), Army beat Police (19-10), Wapda beat HEC (26-6) and Punjab beat KP (24-1).
