Okara - Two girls including a mentally-retarded were raped in different areas while a gang-rape victim was medically examined here at DHQ Hospital. According to police sources, a mentally-retarded girl was raped by a culprit in village 48/D, Depalpur. Mentally impaired 15-year-old Sonia went to field to cut fodder with her grand-father. When her grand-father went away from her, the accused identified as Amin came there. He overpowered the girl and raped her. The Depalpur Saddr have registered a case.

In another incident, a girl was raped at home. The girl (S), daughter of Muhammad Yousuf of village Bukhtawarwala 44/GD was alone at home. In the meanwhile, Shaheen, son of Yaqoob along with his accomplice barged into the house. Shaheen raped the girl at gunpoint, whereas his accomplice stood on guard. The police have registered a case of the incident.

Meanwhile, a gang-rape victim was medically examined at the Okara DHQ Hospital. The doctors collected samples for forensic test and sent to Lahore. The victim identified as Rimsha, Azam was gang-raped in village 22/GD when she was returning from a Maulvi. The four rapists Ali Raza, Waris, Dilawar and Touseef abducted her to a vacant enclosure where they gang-raped her at gunpoint The Okara Saddr Police have already registered a case against the accused.

Woman dies

A woman Sameena Bibi (42) died and four other members of her family sustained injuries in a collision between a car (LES-1535) and truck (LXU-730) near Motra on Daska-Sialkot Road here.  The family was coming to Sialkot from People’s Colony Gujranwala, when it met the fatal road accident here. The woman died on the spot while four other persons of her family Kabeer (13), Haroon (32), Rubi (35) and Fatima (8 years old) suffered critical injuries. Rescuers of the Rescue 1122 Sialkot shifted the injured to local hospital in critical condition. Police are investigating.
