India itself masterminded Pathankot attack

So-called terror assault aimed to malign Pakistan: AJK President

MIRPUR (AJK)

Azad Jammu & Kashmir President Sardar Yaqoob Khan said on Tuesday that India itself masterminded the attack on its Pathankot Airbase just to malign Pakistan by dragging Islamabad into the so-called terrorist assault.
He was addressing a prize distribution ceremony of Annual Sports Festival held at Mirpur University of Science & Technology (MUST) campus.
President Yaqoob, also the chancellor of MUST, suggested to the government of Pakistan to refrain from fully relying on Prime Minister Modi-led hardliner regime.
“As long as Pakistan would move closer to New Delhi following her (Islamabad) traditional peace-loving approach, the Indian leadership would leave no stone unturned in betraying Pakistan because of her (Delhi) traditional behaviour of enmity and hostility,” he said.
He called upon the students of Jammu & Kashmir that they have to perform their due role for their liberation of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from the Indian yoke, through their intellect and pen after completing their studies. He said that since India is aggressor and oppressor in the Jammu & Kashmir State for last 68 years, the time has come for our young generation to stand up with the power of pen to get the occupied motherland liberated from the Indian subjugation.
Referring to the reported move of Pakistan to give provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan, the President suggested to the government of Pakistan to refrain from taking any such decision in view of the historic and geographical status of GB being the invincible part of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Himalayan State of Jammu & Kashmir.
India, the AJK president warned, could take benefit of any such move by perpetuating and materializing her baseless claim of Jammu & Kashmir as her “integral” part, he added.
Yaqoob called upon the government of Pakistan to immediately take up the move with the leadership of Jammu & Kashmir from both sides of the Line of Control to discuss its negative repercussions on the national stance of Pakistan on Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the president highly praised the university administration for regularly managing sports events to produce healthy and quality architects for the nation. He advised the students to enthusiastically and regularly participate in the sports activity to maintain their required energetic capacity and strength.
Games are imperative for all the human beings to maintain their healthy life, he said. He gave away shields and souvenirs to the students securing distinctions in various games played during last year.
Vice Chancellor Dr Habibur Rehman and Director Sports Abid Hussain highlighted the curricular and co-curricular activities to produce quality future architects.
