Chakwal by-poll victory depicts masses trust in N leadership

QILA DIDAR SINGH-The PML-N victory in Chakwal by-election shows public confidence in the party’s leadership, said PML-N leader Haji Mudassar Qayyum Nahra.
Talking to The Nation, he said that PML-N candidate Sultan Haider won election by gaining 76,000 votes while his opponent could obtain only 46,000 votes. “The PML-N contested in the by-election against a candidate who had support of all the political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Awami Tehreek,” Nahra said, adding “the PML-N victory in the by-election shows strong rejection by people to the false allegations levelled by political rivals against the party leadership.” He pointed out that the by-election is also a trailer for next general election. The by-election result depicts the masses’ confidence and satisfaction over the PML-N performance.
Gujranwala District Council chairman Ch Mazhar Qayyum Nahra and MNA Ch Azhar Qayyum Nahra were also present on the occasion. On the other hand, PML-N MPAs including Ch Ashraf and Ch Rafaqat Gujjar said that their party victory in Chakwal by-election has spoilt the dreams of the political rivals.
They said that popularity of former premier and PML-N chairman Nawaz Sharif among the masses is increasing with each passing day. The masses have voted in favour of Nawaz Sharif in Chakwal by-election, they added.
