Rehana Nazar Junior Squash starts today

ISLAMABAD-Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization (RMWO), Sindh Squash Association (SSA) and Tando Allayar/Hyderabad District Squash Association are organizing the 7th Rehana Nazar Rashidabad National Junior Squash Championship 2018 from today (Saturday) at Rehana Nazar Squash Complex, Rashidabad District Tando Allayar.

The championship, which will conclude on January 17, carries total prize money of Rs 300,000. Rashidabad is a project city 30km from Hyderabad, launched by a group of PAF retired officers under Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization (RMWO), stands out as an OASIS in Sindh. It was inspired by the supreme sacrifice of Flt Lt Rashid Ahmed, who in an attempt to save precious lives steered the burning aircraft away from thick population of Karachi, while he declined to eject, upholding the spirit of his PAF predecessors embraced martyrdom on December 13 1997, the city is a living monument in his memory-serving thousands daily.

A total of 134 male and female players have confirmed to play in the qualifying and main rounds, in which boys entries are 100 and girls 34. Iqbal Samad is chairman organising committee while Mrs Khursheed, vice chairman, Tahir Jamil Khanzada, tournament director, Aijaz Shaikh, secretary, tournament coordinator, Shafiq Ahmed, tournament referee, M Naseem, Furqan Rajput, media coordinator. M Uzair Rashid is top seed in males U-19, Uzair Shaukat top seed in U-17, Asadullah Khan top seed in U-15, M Hamza in U-13 and Anus Bukhari in U-11. Komal Khan is top seed in girls U-19 and Nimra Aqeel is top seed in U-17.
