2 men shot dead by unknown gunmen in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi-Two men were shot dead by unknown gunmen in different localities of the city, informed sources on Wednesday.
Police have registered cases against the killers on complaints of family members of deceased persons and started investigation, they said. 
According to sources, Chaudhry Wasim Ahmed, a resident of Quaid e Azam Colony, lodged complaint with Police Station Saddar Bairooni stating that his brother namely Nadim Ahmed Riaz was present in his car showroom at Zafar Plaza when two unknown gunmen launched an armed attack on him and murdered. 
He told police Chauhdry Tanvir Ahmed, who is friend of Nadim and was sitting along with him in the showroom, shared with him that two armed men entered in showroom when he and Nadim were busy in chit chat. He added that one of the gunmen started beating Nadim with pistol handle when he attempted to get up from sofa while the other gunman started indiscriminate firing on him. “The gunman fired five bullets at Nadim killing him on the spot,” the applicant mentioned in the application. The body was taken to DHQ Hospital for autopsy while a heavy contingent of police led by SHO PS Saddar Bairooni Inspector Malik Allah Yar rushed to the crime scene and recorded statements of eyewitnesses.
Police also registered a case against unknown killers and started investigation, sources said.
ASP Saddar Circle Saud told The Nation that the reason behind the murder was not known yet by the investigators and the family. He said police are making efforts to trace out the killers after filing a case against them.
On the other hand, unknown gunmen gunned down a man in Qasimabad area of PS Naseerabad and fled from the scene. The dead body of man was moved to DHQ Hospital for autopsy. Naseerabad Police Station SHO SI Kamran Jamshed Kiani arrived at crime scene and collected evidences besides recording statements of eyewitnesses as per his investigation. A case was also lodged against killers while further investigation was on, said sources.
