Funeral prayers of blast victims offered

KARACHI The funeral prayers of police and Frontier Constabulary personnel martyred in deadly attack on CID Civil line Karachi were offered at Police Headquarters Garden on Friday. Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza, Home Secretary Sindh Arif Khan, IGP Sindh Sultan Salahuddin Baber Khattak, CCPO Karachi Fayyaz Leghari, In-charge Home Minister Complaint Cell Sharrafuddin Memon and other high-ranked officers and relatives of the martyred attended the funeral prayers. On this occasion Home Minister ZulfiKar Ali Mirza said that law enforcers have shown excellent performance in coping with terrorist activities despite having limited resources. He added that the Government would reward compensation to heirs of each martyred personnel. Online adds: The funeral prayers of eight FC personnel martyred in Karachi bomb blast in CID Police office was offered here at Police Headquarters Garden on Friday. As per details, the funeral prayers of Thursdays Karachi bomb blast have been offered while the government of Sindh announced compensation worth Rs 5000 for the heirs of each martyr FC personnel. The martyrs are including Sajid Hussain, Sajjad Hussain, Hamid Hussain, Nazir Ullah, Muhammad Azam, Saraj Uddin, Wajid Ali Baig and Abdul Qadir. Provincial Interior minister Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, IG Sindh Sultan Salah Uddin Babar Khattak, CCPO Karachi Fiaz Laghari, DIGs, TPOs, CID officials and police officials attended the funeral prayers. The police guards presented guard of owner after the funeral prayers. According to police, the dead bodies of the personnel would shift to their native towns while Wajid Ali would be buried in colony gate graveyard in Shahra-e-Faisal. Talking to media after the funeral prayer, Interior Minister Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza said that CID would itself investigate the bomb blast. He denied the reports of presence of any prisoners in the building. He said that evidences are being gathered in this connection.
