QUETTA - Employees of District Council, Quetta stopped performing their official duties as a protest against torturing Chief Officer, Municipal Committee, Dalbandin by Assistant Commissioner.
According to reports, Chief Officer, District Council, Quetta and other employees of District Council, Quetta boycotted official business as a protest, demanding disciplinary proceedings against Assistant Commissioner, Dalbandin allegedly accused of torturing Chief Officer, Dalbandin in his office. Staff of District Council suspended sanitation activities, operation against encroachments and disposing of other official assignments.
Talking to media, Arbab Mati-ur-Rehman, Chief Officer, District Council, Quetta said that it was against the ethics and traditions to beat officer in his office during duty. He added that disposing official business in District Council, Quetta would remain suspended unless strict disciplinary proceedings against the allegedly accused Assistant Commissioner were initiated.
