Just a masquerade

Is it quite common in our country to make health an excuse to get out of commitments, may they be political or legal? Or are we too suspicious now? But it is quite heartening to see that Mr. Munir A Malik, our Attorney General has regained his health and is now strong and undertaking arduous task of attending the Supreme Courts of Pakistan every other day. Sometime back he was reported to be on dialysis and would not present himself before the authorities when required. Similarly, it is indeed very comforting to see our president Mr. Zardari who has completed his tenure, though only a few weeks before his assuming the office he was in and out of 5 star luxury hospitals has now regained his lost health in his extended long incarceration of eleven years in jail!
And, what heart ailment did Mr. Ghous Ali Shah suffer which kept him out of the country for most of the time of Musharraf rule? Happily, He looks alright and full of vigour. I think it is the most convenient way of beating the law by becoming sick especially for our politicians and other men of influence as they can stay away from the courts as long as they wish as are Messrs Hussain Haqqani and Shamsul Hassan Wajid , our ex envoys to USA and UK. I don’t know why Musharraf is not falling ill? I suppose his military training has made him robust and maybe he has some self respect left against brazen cheating.
