Pakistan defeat Thailand in 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball match

LAHORE -Pakistan volleyball team defeated Thailand with a set score of 3-2 in the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship match held at Tokyo, Japan. The match lasted for 2 hours 35 minutes which is a very long match by all standards. Usman Faryad Shani, Zaheer, and Murad Khan played very well for Pakistan. In the fifth and crucial set, Aimal Khan made a comeback again and won it for Pakistan. The encouraging thing in the match was that Pakistan came back from behind in the second and fourth set and won both. This was a crucial match for Pakistan to qualify for the quarterfinals as two teams from each group of four teams go up amongst the top 8 teams in the quarterfinal. Pakistan will play their second match against Hong Kong today (Monday) at 5:30 am. While in the third match on September 14, Pakistan will take on Iran.
