Lahore Hawks rout Desert Camels as 15-side rugby resumes

LAHORE   -  Lahore Hawks Rugby Football Club trounced Desert Camels by 52-19 as the Servis Tyres 15-side Rugby League resumed on Monday after a break here at Pakistan Rugby Academy Lahore. 

According to information provided by Pakistan Rugby Union, the 15-side famous Rugby League Div-I matches have been resumed. The Pakistan Rugby Union every year hosts 15-side Servis League and this is the 7th edition. Last year, Div-II and Div-III matches were held but due to situation, Div-I matches were pending, which have now been restarted. 

In a match, Lahore Hawks Rugby Football Club toppled Desert Camels by 52-19 in a very good weather. At this moment, Pakistan Rugby Union Chairman Fawzi Khwaja, President Ch Arif Saeed, Secretary Salman Muzzafar Shaikh, Head Coach Shakeel Malik, Rugby Services Manager Moazzam Ali Shah, many current and former rugby players were present to witness the good game.  The match between Desert Camels and Lahore Hawks Rugby Club was very exciting at half time score as the score was 27-14. Both the teams played some good rugby but in the end, Lahore Hawks Rugby Football Club kept their nerves and won the match convincingly in the end. From Lahore Hawks, main scorers were Khurram (7 tries) and Ismail (2 tries). From Desert Camels, Aqib and Alam scored 2 tries each.
