Tribute paid to Asma Jahangir

SHIKARPUR - A joint programme was organised by Shikarpur Press Club and Community Action for Rural Development (CARD) to pay tribute to advocate Asma Jahangir on Tuesday.

Shikarpur Press Club President Abdul Salam, Human Rights Activists Iqbal Detho, Deen Muhammad Shaikh, Mian Zafar Alvi, Pervaiz Abro, Nasim Bukhari, Ali Asghar Pahore, Mumtaz Mangi and others highlighted the services rendered by Asma Jahangir and expressed their deep sympathies with bereaved family members.

Journalists, social activists and a large number of people belonging to every walk of life were present on the occasion. Candles were also lit to pay homage to Asma Jahangir.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and Kandhkot civil society paid a rich tribute to veteran social activist Asma Jahangir.

According to details, HRCP district Kashmore held a vigil in the memory of human rights champion.

Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Abdul Ghani Bijarani, Imdad Ahmed Khoso, Ghulam Rasool Mirani and others highlighted her social activities.
