LAHORE-Sardar Latif Khosa was sworn in as Punjabs new Governor on Thursday at a simple but impressive ceremony held at Governors House. Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Justice Ijaz Ch administered the oath to the Governor. Khosa is the 33rd Punjab Governor since independence from the British rule, also including caretaker and acting Governors. Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Federal and provincial Ministers, MNAs, MPAs and senior civil and military officers attended the ceremony among elite of the City. Corps Commander Lahore, Lt Gen. Rashid Mahmood was also present. It is to be noted that none of the PML-N leaders including CM Shahbaz Sharif had attended the oath taking ceremony of slain Governor Salmaan Taseer in May 2008.
