KARACHI- The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Sindh on Friday staged a rally to protest resumption of Nato supply from Pakistan. The activists Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) held the rally outside the press club on the directives of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman. The activists chanted slogans against the US and Nato. Addressing the protest demonstration, JUI-F leader Aslam Ghori, Maulana Hamad Shah, Qari Sher Afzal, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid and others criticised the government decision for reopening Nato supply routes from Pakistan and said that government had insulted the Pakistani nation by reopening the Nato supply routes. They claimed that the rulers had sabotaged the unanimous resolution of the parliament by reopening the Nato supply, saying that the US has practically rejected out every demand made by the government in light of the parliamentary resolution. They said that the US had similarly ignored Pakistan’s request for halting drone attacks, adding that drone attacks are violation of our sovereignty and represent war against Pakistan. The leaders regretted that the government by its latest surrender to the US dictates has once again shown that it least cares for national interest and popular national sentiments. “Drone attacks and opening of the routes are totally unacceptable to the Pakistani people and the nation has rejected the reopening of Nato supply routes from Pakistan,” they added. Referring to the US ambassador remarks about Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif, they said that US ambassador had exposed the real faces of the duo.
