KARACHI – - Acting Governor of Sindh, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has welcomed the passage of the contempt of court law by the National Assembly.He congratulated President Asif Zardari, PM Raja Pervez Ashraf and members National Assembly and the nation, said a press release issued here on Monday. Khuhro said the contempt of court law will prove to be a milestone in dispensation of justice, strengthening of institutions and continuity of democracy.Meanwhile, Acting Governor Nisar Ahmed Khuhro appreciated the consensus of the parliamentary committee for the appointment of Justice (r) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim as the Chief Election Commissioner. He said this decision reflects President Zardari’s sobriety and impartiality and a move by the Pakistan Peoples Party to make the Election Commission transparent and acceptable to all the political parties.
