LAHORE – Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) summer cricket camp concluded here on Friday at the university premises.
A great number of the university students participated in the camp.
“I appreciate the efforts of the LCWU vice chancellor who took this important initiative and revived the sports culture one again here in the university which was once the hub of the sports activates and had great role in producing great number of talented and brilliant sports women,” said sports in-charge of the university Humaira Kamran while talking to the reporters on Friday.
She said that every participant in the camp worked hard and learnt a lot. They had overcome their mistakes and improved their game and skills. “Summer camp was successful one as the number of the participants was more than our expectations which shows that students took very keen interest in learning and improving their game and utilized their time in very healthy activities,” she added.
“We trained our girls very well and now they will represent their university in upcoming Super Cricket League which is scheduled to be held after Eid in which all the affiliated colleges of the LCWU will participate,” she concluded.
“We have learnt a lot in all the three departments batting, bowling and fielding and overcome all weakness. We have plan to represent the university at inter-varsity level and then at national level.”
A friendly fixture was played at the concluding day in which these players exhibited their prowess and conclude the camp in great style.
