RAWALPINDI - The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered 20 capsules filled with heroin powder from the stomach of a passenger proceeding to Europe here at Benazir Bhutto International Islamabad Airport (BBIIAP) on Friday.
The ANF also netted another accused from the parking lot of the airport on the revelation of the arrested passenger. According to sources, ANF staff at BBIIAP upon suspicion intercepted a passenger namely Farooq Navees, hailing from Gujranwala, who were proceeding to Milan through flight number PK-749. The ANF staff later sent him for X-Ray of his abdomen recovering 20 heroin filled capsules from his stomach.
The accused was taken into custody, who during interrogation told the investigators that one of his accomplices was also standing in the parking lot of the airport. The ANF staff also nabbed the other accused who identified as Zain Rasool, sources added. Both the smugglers have been shifted to ANF Headquarter for further probe after registration of a case, sources said.
