LAHORE – Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman and TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami has termed the reopening of Nato supplies an attack on the country’s sovereignty that would add to the miseries of the terror-stricken nation.
He expressed these views while addressing ‘Pakistan Paindabad Conference’ via telephonically held at Chakwal on Friday. He also lauded the people of Chakwal for their bravery.
The government, instead of passing contempt of court law and dual nationality bill, should strengthen democracy and nullify any attempt that would give birth to clash among the institutions, Nizami opined.
Highlighting the purpose of conducting such conferences in the eight cities of the country, Nizami said Pakistan was an ideological state that could avert any kind of storm in the name of culture or civilisation. He also announced that such conferences would also be conducted in other cities of the country.
Nizami said all the institutions should work with in the constitutional ambit and clash among the state institutions including the executive, judiciary and legislative would be fatal for the growing democracy. He reiterated his stance and advised the politicians to create an environment of harmony so that the nation could face storming enemies otherwise he warned the democracy would suffer.
TheNation Editor-in-Chief said the exit of the Nato and allied forces of Afghanistan without Pakistani cooperation would be a difficult task. The civil and military leadership should now think that how the country could be freed from the US clutches that was killing innocent people.
Nizami said Quaid-e-Azam had declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan. He urged the rulers in Islamabad to disconnect relations with India.
