Shehzad Roy’s new video challenges cramming culture

LAHORE-Pop Star Shehzad Roy is circling the news these days because of his new music video which is not a music video per say. It is more like a clever public message which he riotously explains what happens to skeptics of our society, those who question are suppressed so readily that soon they learn to bury their curiosity deep within. As in the video if you ask too many questions you get to face the Uma Thurman from Kill Bill, the Mighty Hulk, solid lollywood Goon, and hard-core Kung Fu masters’ of  our society, which is sadly easily relatable. Shehzad who has been actively trying to bring social reforms in Pakistan by supporting many campaigns is of the view that critical thinking in kids should be developed and encouraged. Our country’s examination system is promoting cramming and anyone who deviates from a given path is snubbed. “Over 90 per cent of questions in the Matric examination are based on rote memorization! Now is the time to build critical thinking in our students?  #?reformmatricboard?,” tweeted Shehzad.
