SIALKOT - Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq has said that 19,000 people will be vaccinated against novel coronavirus in Sialkot district daily. Addressing a meeting of officials of various government departments here on Sunday, he said that the government employees must get themselves vaccinated against corona at the earliest. He said that the local authorities of all departments would be required to provide data of all employees and their families to the district administration. The DC said that special centres would be set up for their vaccination. Meanwhile, Five people were caught for pilfering electricity from various areas of the district. On the report of SDOs Gepco, police raided at Umer Town, Azeem Colony, Hamza Ghous, Munawarpura, Fatehpur and caught red handed Imran, Sher Afghun, Zubair, Muhammad Hussain and Muhammad Ijaz while pilfering electricity from main transmission lines and through meter tampering. Cases have been registered against the accused.
DC inspects vaccination process at hospital
Deputy Commissioner Tahir Farooq visited the Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot, and inspected its trauma and corona vaccination centres. Hospital Director Dr Sohail Ahmed Butt was also present.
The DC directed the hospital director to ensure timely vaccination of all patients and their families coming to the hospital. He said that vaccination was available for all citizens above 20 years of age. The DC also visited the trauma centre of DHQ Hospital and inspected the medical facilities being provided to the injured and other patients there.
