Punjab's budget for FY2021-22 will be historic says Usman Buzdar

Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar stated on Monday that Punjab's budget for the year 2021-2022 will be historic and will prove to be a source of good news for the public. He also said that every sector of the society will be pleased by it.

Talking about the opposition, he said that criticizing every move and motive of the government has become a nature of the other parties and the budget will be easily passed by the assembly.

Punjab's budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 with an outlay of over Rs 2600 billion will be presented in provincial assembly in Lahore today i.e. Monday, 14th June 2021.

The budget will be presented by the Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht.

According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Finance Department, various public welfare schemes and a special package for industries will be announced as a part of the budget.

Moreover, Health Sahulat cards will be alloted to the all the people by December.

Talking about development projects in the province he added that the government also plans to set aside 560 billion rupees for that while government employees are likely to get a 10 percent raise in their salaries.

Lastly, he said that Rs424 billion will be earmarked for education while Rs 10 billion for Punjab Rozgar Programme and Rs 3 billion for Hunarmand Jawan Program will be allocated in Punjab budget for fiscal year 2021-22. And Rs 9 billion to be allocated for the green Punjab project.

Also, Rs 22 Billion would be given for water supply and sanitation.
