Matias powers Newage to National Polo final

Seven-star Matias powered Newage/Master Paints to an overwhelming victory over Wi-Tribe Shahsawars to qualify for the Bank Alfalah National Polo Championship for Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup 2015 main final to be played on Sunday against Royal Residencia/Learning Alliance.
In the most entertaining match of the day between two super stars Matias Vial Perez and Pedro Zacharias, it was maestro Matias who struck splendid seven goals to guide Newage a classy win over Shahsawars. Rest of the four goals for the winners came from top player of the country Hissam Ali Hyder. Pedro couldn’t collect a good number of goals, as compare to his opponent Matias, and managed only three while his teammate Bilal Haye contributed two goals to reduce the defeat margin to 11-5.
In another match of the day, Master Paints defeated Daewoo Pakistan 6-5 in a well-contested match. Manuel Crespo was top scorer for the winners with his tremendous three goals while Saqib Khan Kahkwani slammed two and Sufi M Haris one. For the losing side, Shah Shamyl Alam scored three while Zain Khan Khakwani and Shah Qubilai Alam hit one goal each. Ben Turner was umpire while Ahmed Ali Tiwana was referee.
In another thriller of the day, Army/Bank Alfalah defeated Guard Group by 7-6. The winners dominated the entire chukkers of the match except the fourth one. It was Tomas Llorente who led Army in great style and as he smashed three goals while two goals each came from Minhas brothers - Maj Omer and Maj Haseeb – which guided their team to one-goal win over Guard Group. For the losing side, Julio Nevillo Astrada and Abdul Rehman Monnoo slammed four and two goals respectively.
