LAHORE   -  Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that elections for Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate have revealed that PDM’s negative politics has met its logical end.

In a statement on Saturday, she said the unnatural alliance of opposition parties is speedily moving towards its end and the time has come for ‘Sindh’s Prince, fake Princess and Maulana’ to part ways.  She alleged that both PPP and PML-N stabbed each other in the back.  She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan through his wisdom has brought their cheap politics down to the ground.

She said the notorious thugs have been dishonoured from every place in the country and would meet the same fate in future also. She added that those who were beating drums till yesterday are now mourning on their defeat. Dr Firdous said the PDM leaders have now retreated from Punjab after facing defeat in the Centre. She said Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is a soldier of Prime Minister Imran Khan and PM has complete confidence in him.

She said the Chief Minister took serious and prompt decisions for controlling the recent wave of Covid-19 in the province.

She said 1,239 new coronavirus patients have been reported in the province during the last 24 hours and the number of active cases has reached 9,106.
