LAHORE – Kinnaird Cricket Club (KCC) and Lahore Club jointly won the 1st Warid Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) Women Cricket Tournament trophy after the rain washed out the final here at the Lahore College ground on Tuesday. It was expected a tough contest between the two arch-rival teams but rain compelled the organisers to declare both the teams as joint winners. It was a great honour for the KCC team which remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. Anam Amin of the KCC, who took 12 wickets throughout the event, was declared best bowler. If given a fair chance, she is capable enough to earn crucial victories for the national team. Almas Akram was named best batswoman of the event. Amer Aman Khan was the chief guest on final and distributed prizes among the top performers.–Staff Reporter
