KARACHI - Ali Hai clinched the 11th edition of the Sindh Amateur Golf title despite a poor third round of three over 75 on the final day of the three-day 54-hole championship here Sunday. Son of veteran tennis star Saeed Hai, Ali Hai had a six stroke lead over his nearest challenger Hamza Amin of Islamabad that even playing poorly he clinched the title with a total of 218. Hamza Amin took the runners up position with a total of 224 in three rounds. He, like Ali Hai his national team mate scored 75 in the final round. Zohaib Asif a five handicap player won the net title with 212 and Mansoor Teli a new face on the course took runners up position with 216. In the seniors competition held over 36 hole, Asad IA Khan a six handicapper won the net title with an aggregate of 144.Aslam R.Khan president of Sindh Golf Association finished second. Both the players had tied 144 at the end of the competition .The winner was decided on back nine in which former international Asad IA Khan pipped his senior partner at the post. The gross title went to Omer Khan Bangash with 153. Brig. Ayaz Peer was second with 155. Tahira Niazi of Rawalpindi won the ladies gross title played over 36 hole. She aggregated 168.Durdada Soomro was second with 186. Ahn Gui JA won the net crown with 148.
