NAB holds all cases in abeyance

ISLAMABAD - National Accountability Bureau (NAB), while seeking guidance and interpretation of some points following the promulgation of NAB (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, has apprised all regional offices to hold all decisions in abeyance till receipt of advice from Ministry of Law and Justice.

In a notification, the NAB Headquarters conveyed to all regional Director Generals that consequent upon promulgation of National Accountability (second Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, the NAB HQ is seeking guidance of the Ministry of Law and Justice regarding questions of interpretation and clarifications of some points.

It is, therefore, apprised that decision on all matters will be kept in abeyance till receipt of advice from the ministry. The Regional Bureaus are requested to provide comments/input on the subject if any, the notification said.

Husnain Ahmad made NAB DG Operations

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has appointed Husnain Ahmad as Director General Operations NAB.

The post was lying vacant after the promotion of outgoing DG Operations Zahir Shah as Deputy Chairman NAB.

According to a notification, “Chairman NAB has been pleased to allow Husnain Ahmad, Director General (BPS-21) HQs Division, NAB Islamabad to look after the work of the post of Director General (Operations), National Accountability Bureau (HQ), Islamabad in addition to his own duties with immediate effect and till further orders.”
