PM approval sought for ad-hoc on PHF

ISLAMABAD - Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Ministry has sent written proposal to Prime Minister to impose ad-hoc on Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). IPC Minister Syed Riaz Hussain Pirzada has confirmed the sending of letter to the PM. Talking to The Nation on Friday, Pirzada said: “Hockey is our national game and despite getting funds of millions of rupees, the PHF failed to deliver. It is their incompetency that the Pakistan team, which had won four world cups, failed to qualify for the Hockey World Cup 2014 for the first time in the history of the country.” “Prime Minister has already taken strong notice of the hockey team’s debacle while the IPC has written letter to the PHF to seek their reply for reasons behind the team’s worst ever performance in Asia Cup,” Riaz concluded. –Staff Reporter
