LAHORE - Pakistan Muttahidda Kisan Mahaz Wednesday endorsed the five-point agenda of the Punjab government regarding the wheat procurement drive, starting from Thursday across the Punjab. President PMKM Ayub Khan Mayo also demanded the Punjab government to eliminate the role of middlemen from the wheat purchase campaign. Talking to a delegation of farmers, he further said that the middlemen have become active to exploit the situation and now it is the responsibility of the government to protect the rights of the farming community. He also demanded that the distribution of jute bags should be made transparent and any kind of nepotism would not be tolerated in this regard.
