Do not see Maryam daily: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has presented before the Accountability Court in connection with Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment references on Wednesday.

After the hearing, while talking to media outside the AC he told he does not meet his daughter Maryam on daily basis. "I meet Maryam after the gap of a week when the outside visitors visit me", he said.

On the query about his daily routine, Nawaz Sharif told that he is not allowed to go out of his cell and he offer prayers at his cell.

On the question of solitary confinement, Nawaz said that yes you can say that it is kind of a solitary confinement. The former prime minister told his health is fine.

In July, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar were sentenced by an accountability court in the Avenfield corruption case. The court handed an 11-year sentence to Nawaz and 8 years to Maryam, which they are serving at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
