Gujranwala students make 800-foot-long Pakistan flag

GUJRANWALA - Gujranwala students prepared 800-foot-long and 25 feet wide Pakistan flag to express their love for the country on Independence Day.

Male and female students also took out a flag march after the ceremony to mark Independence Day on Saturday. Youth in Karachi also arranged two different bike races to celebrate Indepen­dence Day. The first race was staged by motorcy­cles riders carrying national flags while the sec­ond one was staged by bicycle riders. Moreover, Lahore Sarangi School students recited Pakistan national anthem at a flag-hoisting ceremony by the Walled City of Lahore Authority. Earlier, the youth of the Khyber Agency now Khyber district coloured a mountain‘s area with a Pakistani flag to show their respect for the country on Inde­pendence Day eve.
