The Punjab Forest Department, on Saturday, achieved the target of tree-plantation for Independence Day.

According to the details, Punjab Minister for Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Muhammad Sibtain Khan said that the Forest Department has planted more than 2.1 million tree saplings till August 14.

It is pertinent to state here that under the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, a 'Plant for Pakistan' drive was campaigned across the country which created awareness among citizens about the importance of tree plantation and avoiding various natural and climatic hazards.
