18 killed, several injured in DG Khan car bomb blast

At least 18 people were killed and 35 wounded when a car bomb exploded in a busy market of Committee Chowk in Dera Ghazi Khan on Tuesday, a senior health ministry official said. "So far 18 people have died and around 35 people injured in the blast at the Khosa Market," District Health Officer of Dera Ghazi Khan, Doctor Pervez Haider Altaf, told a foreign news agency. "We have declared a state of emergency and the hospital in the town has been crowded by the people looking for their relatives. Rescue efforts are still going on," he added.
