Punjab Government should name a law department of the Punjab University (PU) after Asma Jahangir, stated a resolution presented in Punjab Assembly by PML-N’s Hina Pervez Butt.

The demand was made by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz MPA Hina Pervez Butt through her resolution that she submitted in the Punjab Assembly. THe resolution stated that Asma Jahangir was the voice of deprived people who fought for their rights either in courts or in society. She was a brave woman who always sided with truth. Her struggle for democracy and restoration of judges cannot be forgotten.
