ISLAMABAD - The situation got very interesting when this correspondent contacted a high-ranking security official to seek his confirmation on Major General (R) M Akram Sahi's claim regarding the Army Chief's support to his candidature.
The security official, on condition of anonymity, said: “Elections of POA are out of the armed forces ambit, therefore, there is no question of the Army Chief or the Army as an institution to lend their support for any candidate for the POA election.
