Shortfall hits 5,000MW

ISLAMABAD - The shortfall of electricity has reached 5,000 Megawatt making the life of public more complicated in the sweltering heat.
According to details, due to the shortfall of electricity duration of load shedding has been increased; load shedding has reached to 8 to 10 hours in Provincial Capital of Punjab Lahore which has increased the problems of public while duration of load shedding in surroundings of Lahore has reached to 12 to 14 hours. On the other hand people of central Punjab are getting benefit of just 6 to 8 hours from electricity out of 24 hours, duration of load shedding in south Punjab is 14 to 16 hours while it has been reached to 20 hours in village areas. 
Situation of leading trade city Karachi is also not good load shedding has increased to 14 to 16 hours in several areas which KESC terms as technical fault. Duration of load shedding in Sindh is 14 to 16 hours, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 16 to 18 hours while it has reached to 20 hours in Balochistan.
