4 FC men martyred in IED attack near Quetta

ISLAMABAD - Four soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) deployed for the security of Marget Mines near Quetta embraced martyrdom in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack, the ISPR said on Monday. 

Terrorists used IED to target FC troops who were employed for security of mines on Marget Road in the provincial capital of Balochistan, the media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces said in a statement.  “Four brave soldiers including a junior commissioned officer of FC Balochistan embraced shahadat.” The ISPR said that a large-scale area sanitization operation by FC Balochistan to hunt the terrorists was underway. “Such cowardly acts by inimical elements cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan,” it further said. The security forces are determined to neutralize their nefarious designs even at the cost of blood and lives, it added. 

The martyrs include Subedar Sardar All Khan, a resident of Village Wanda Lungar Kel in Lakki Marwat of KP; Sepoy Musaddaf Hussain, a resident of Chak 272 EB in District Vehari of Punjab, Sepoy Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Wanda Talgi of DI Khan and Sepoy Awais Khan, a resident of Village Bandal in District Neelum, AJK.
