PESHAWAR   -  Mehwish Ali, Waheeha, Sunzil, Hafsa Khan and Ronaq Saleem advanced to next round in the Khyber Pakthunkhwa Girls Open Squash Championship, which got underway here at Qamar Zaman Squash Complex on Monday. Former Nazim Nawa Khali Sajjad Khan was the chief guest on this occasion. Former world champion Qamar Zaman, DSO Tehsin Ullah, Wazir Gul, Sher Bahadar, Shafqat UIlah, Munawar Zaman, Alamzeb, Niamat Ullah, officials, players were also present there. National U19 champion Komal Khan from Wapda is the top seed while Nimra Aqeel (KP) is the second seed in the championship. In the first match, Wajeeha recorded victory over Zarlish Safdar by 12-10, 11-9, 11-6. In the other matches, Ayesha Alam defeated Bilqis Gulab 3-0, the score was 11-8, 11-9, 11-9, Mehwish Ali recorded victory against Maryam Zahra by 11-9, 11-7, 11-9. Hafsa Yousaf beat Mahnoor Ali 3-0, with a score of 11-7, 11-9, 11-7. In the last match, Ronaq defeated Sehrish Ali 3-0, as the score was 12-10, 12-10, 13-11.
