Running govt from ‘containers’ failed: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday said that experience of running the government from ‘containers’ had failed. He was referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s marathon protests against then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a few years ago.

Speaking to journalists here, Bilawal said Opposition Leader Shehbaz Sharif was not allowed to tell the nation the realities of economic situation. “The government did not show the figures of inflation and unemployment in the economic survey of Pakistan so that it can hide its failure,” he said.

He added: “Every citizen is suffering due to inflation caused by Imran Khan’s government and knows the failure of the government. This is the real face of Imran Khan’s ‘change’. The government cannot hoodwink people despite its childish behaviour.”

Bilawal said that speaker and deputy speaker of the National Assembly were not playing their role and “PPP offers all members to the opposition leader in the no-confidence motion against them.”
