LAHORE – The PTI has launched its sports wing with a view to promoting physical activities and utilising the votes of the sportsmen of various games for the party in the next general elections.
PTI Punjab President Ahsan Rasheed along with other party leaders launched the sports wing at a ceremony held at party’s provincial secretariat on Wednesday.
Ahsan following the directions of party chief Imran Khan has nominated Iftikhar Elahi as the head of the central sports wing, while former cricketer Ashraf Ali was named as chief of the Punjab sports wing besides announcing 90-member executive council of the wing comprising former international players belonging to various games.
Meanwhile, PTI City chapter leadership alleged that the income tax department on the behest of the Punjab government sealed the house of party activist Advocate Junaid Razzaq after posting a property tax notice on his house without giving an earlier intimation to deposit his arrears.
