Chinese Ambassador Yao jing called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Javed Qamar Bajwa in Rawalpindi today.

According to the ISPR statement matters of mutual interest and regional security have discussed in the meeting.

The Chinese minister has expressed total understanding of the challenges faced by Pakistan and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions towards regional peace and stability, statement further read.

Yao Jing stated, "China sees Pakistan’s effort with great respect to maintain good relations with its neighbours including India and Afghanistan despite all the challenges."
