LAHORE - PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik has inaugurated a tennis court in City School Burewala in order to promote tennis at grassroots level there.
Talking to The Nation on his return, Malik said: “A tennis court was made functional in the City School Burewala where the PLTA has nominated a tennis coach Zeeshan, who will hunt and train talented Burewala kids at the tennis facility for a couple of years. At the inauguration ceremony a good number of young talented kids were present along with City School Burewala Principal Mr. Amjad, referee Fahim Siddiqui, No 1 U-14 player Asad Zaman and others.
“Another good news is that the Assistant Commissioner Burewala is also very sports loving personality and he has assured of opening another tennis court in the city. This will surely help in producing future tennis stars from the fertile soil of Burewala and one day, these kids for sure will represent Pakistan at international level,” Malik asserted.
