Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, on Saturday called on the British High Commissioner Dr. Christian Turner in the Federal capital.
While talking to British Commisssioner, he said that Pakistan has serious concerns over the rising Islamophobia, racism, hate speeches, discrimination and intolerance around the world.
They discussed the ongoing bilateral engagements between the two countries and exchanged views to enhance the scope of cooperation both at governmental and parliamentary levels.
The Speaker said that ridicule, insult or defamation of religious personalities should be discouraged and penalized.
The British High Commissioner greeted the speaker and the whole Ummah a happy and healthy Eid.
