Qureshi flays govt incompetence

OKARA-The government is completely dysfunctional as foreign and finance ministers are facing cases and the interior ministry is unable to resolve the blockade issue at Islamabad-Rawalpindi intersection for the last five days.
It was stated by PTI central leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi this afternoon at Karmanwala Sharif where he arrived to offer condolence on the demise of the mother of former state minister for information Syed Samsam Ali Shah Bukhari.
He said there is worse condition of law and order in the country. The government has brought a significant damage to agri sector, he added. Farmers have been left at the mercy of miserable circumstances, he flayed. “In such situation, PTI’s demand for early elections is genuine as it is better for democratic stability in the country,” he pointed out. He said growers were bound to start harvesting of sugarcane crops in the mid of October to get proper rate of the crop. “Now its mid of November and growers are suffering a lot as they would not earn proper rate of the their crops,” he added.
To a question, he said that 228 votes in the national assembly are mandatory to reach the constitutional amendment for framing fresh national constituencies but the ruling party has lost its confidence to do that as more than 40 PML-N lawmakers do not believe in the party leadership.
To another query, he responded that the PPP government performance in Sindh has been exposed. The 35-year-long rule of MQM in urban Sindh and Karachi is enough to evaluate its performance, he added.
