Two PML-N factions at daggers drawn in F’abad

FAISLABAD

Two opposing factions of PML-N have prepared to contest the local bodies elections and both the ‘war-factions’ are all set to take their ‘conflict’ to the streets, media reports claimed.
Federal Minister Abid Sher Ali and MNA Mian Abdul Manan have levelled serious allegations against each other, reported a private TV the other day.
Both the groups are appeared adamant to contest the local bodies elections according to their plans and not the party manifesto. The situation is feared to cause great loss the party in the LB elections.
According to reports, incidents of gun fire and clashes have been a common sight for the past week as both factions of PML-N contest LB elections against each other. Federal Minister Abid Sher Ali himself filed a case against brothers of MPA Malik Nawaz.
Abid Sher Ali has stated that the reason behind registration of a case against the party’s MPA is a ‘press conference.’ While talking to journalists, MPA Malik Nawaz along with some other MPAs had alleged that Abid Sher Ali has sided with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for local body elections just to get his brother leverage for becoming the mayor of Faisalabad. The MPAs had alleged that Abid Sher Ali is resorting to measures like killing people among others to achieve his goals.
Replying to Abid Sher Ali’s allegations, MPA Mian Abdul Mannan alleged that either Abid Sher Ali’s family is leaving the PML-N or is ‘getting the boot’ from the party. Under no circumstances, the “corrupt leaders” would be allowed to become mayor, said the MPA. PML-N’s own local leadership has announced to call strike against the government in two days.
