LAHORE   -  Hussnain Ali Rizwan stunned No 1 seed Faizan Fayyaz 5-4 in the PLTA Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2021, that was formally inaugurated here at the PLTA Courts on Tuesday. 

PLTA Secretary Rashid Malik (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), who is also tournament organizer, inaugurated the event at the colorful opening ceremony, which was also attended by players, their families and tennis lovers. The matches were also played in the different age categories and the top seeds advanced to the next round.  

In the U-18 first round, the upset of the day was witnessed, when young and talented Hussnain Ali Rizwan (LGS Paragon) stunned top seed of U-18 category Faizan Fayyaz 5-4 (retd). In other matches of this category, emerging Asad Zaman (McDonald’s) toppled M Sohaan Noor 8-1, Haider Ali Rizwan (LGS Paragon) outpaced Arman Kamran 8-1, Abdul Hanan Khan routed beat Hassan Ali 8-1, Bilal Asim thrashed Muneeb Majeed 8-0 and Ahtesham Arif beat Zahra Suleman 8-3. In U-14 first round, Abubakar Khalil beat Aleena Suleman 8-4.
