Shahid Afridi ranks alongside Ronaldo in 'most charitable athletes' list

In a list featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Shahid Afridi from Pakistan, has been nominated among top 20 most charitable athletes of the year.

DoSomething, an organization that works on bringing social change, released the list of most charitable athletes in the World. The list includes athletes such as John Cena, Neymar, Serena Williams, Yuna Kim, Richard Sherman and others.

The Shahid Afridi Foundation aims to facilitate the constructing of hospitals and school within Pakistan. Cricket superstar started the organization, saying it will focus on mothers and internal refugees. Afridi’s charity foundation also actively assisted Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Waziristan operation.

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who topped the list, has always been praised for his philanthropic work.
