Wapda, PAF score wins in Pak Premier Football League

LAHORE   -  Pakistan Wapda and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) won their matches in the opening day of 13th Pakistan Premier Football League at Qasim Bagh Football Stadium. Deputy Commissioner, Multan, Ali Shahzad was the chief guest and inaugurated the tournament. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Malik M Amer Dogar, Naveed Akram, Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, Faqeer M Ch, Ch M Saleem, Haji M Saeed and M Shafique, Sh Muhammad Iqbal, Javed Qureshi, Arshad Umer Zia and a large number of people were also present on the occasion. In the opening match, Wapda beat SSGC 1-0. Two teams fought well played and were engaged 0-0 at the end of firat half. In the 69th minutes, Wapda received foul kick against SSGC and M Bilal successfully converted it. M Ahmed Rauf supervised the match and was assisted by Mehboob Ali and Majid Khan. The second match was played between Army and PAF, and the latter won it 1-0. PAF has 1-0 lead at the end of the first half. In the 17th minutes of the first half, Samad Khan scored the lone goal for PAF. Army played tried to equalize the match but their efforts remained futile. The match was supervised by Adnan Anjum and assisted by Dilawar Khan and Nadeem Butt.
