Violence on women is increasing day by day. Sometimes, as in the recent past we see that women are even buried alive. Sometimes, they are murdered in the name of honour. It is commonplace for violent husbands to beat their wives on petty issues. I think the women have no honour in our society especially in rural areas. A concerted effort is required to stop violence on women. In the recent past, the government no doubt has taken steps like amending the Family Laws Ordinance and making them effective yet it has to see to it that laws are implemented.
