KPK ruling alliance stages protest against drone strikes

PESHAWAR - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and its allied parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took out a massive rally against US drone attacks and vowed to keep up the sit-in until US assurance to stop drone attacks in Pakistan.
Hundred of workers of PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami, who participated in the rally, were holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-US and drone slogans. The rally was started from Sadder area and culminated near Hayatabad Toll Plaza. It was led by PTI General Secretary Khalid Mashood, Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Prof Ibrahim, Hamdullah Jan, Israrullah Advocate, PTI MNA Engineer Hamidul Haq, Sajid Nawaz, district activists, and Awami Jamhoori Itehad Pakistan (AJIP) Vice President Buland Khan. The PTI and its allies also continued sit-in movement against US drone strike, which has entered 22nd day.
Amid anti-America and Anti-drone slogans, Khalid Mashood said that PTI and its allied parties' sit-in was not like a protest of government employees, Tehsildar and Patwari, rather it is a vigorous agitation campaign against US drone strike, which will be continued till end of the missile attack on the Pakistan soil. He said that the United States has bowed down after successful movement of PTI against drone attacks, and compelled to stop supplies to NATO troops via Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
"Patriotic people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have forced the United States to stop lethal supply to Nato-led troops in Afghanistan via KPK," said Prof Ibrahim while addressing the demonstrators. "We don't need American aid in exchange for blood of our innocent people," he added. He vowed that the party along with ruling PTI and AJIP would not allow to transportation of NATO supplies till end of the US drone attacks in tribal region.
Buland Khan reiterated that his party would strongly support its allied parties in protest campaign against US drone strikes.
